Weekly Dose 💆🏽‍♀️🪐🌿

November 3, 2025 Ferris Givins

Reminder! Custom essential oil blends are available for purchase year round in the treatment room.

In the Treatment Room

As the seasons and weather change, so do we and our necessities. Here’s what’s available to you in the treatment room at the moment.

Hot Stones

Warming and decompressing; hot stones are perfect for this time of year! Ask about incorporating them into your next custom bodywork treatment. Hot stones are known to help relieve muscle tension and increase circulation but they also just feel really nice (esp when it’s cold out) which is reason enough, amiright?

Virgin Organic Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is ultra moisturizing which is why I love to use it during the colder, drier months. Its consistency is rich, comforting and feels luxurious on the skin. Another reason I love working with coconut oil during the fall and winter months is its scent, which is reminiscent of a tropical vacation- certainly doesn’t hurt on a chilly day!

Ginger Essential Oil

Ginger EO landed in the treatment room just in time for Scorpio season. We can add this spicy, sweet smelling oil to any bodywork service. Ginger is by far one of my favorite herbs that I love to consume in various ways. Check out my StarBody Report below to learn about the benefits of ginger and why it correlates with the sign of Scorpio.

StarBody Report

Did you check out last week’s newsletter? If so, you know that this is the season of surrender. We’re clearing space all Scorpio season and now we have the help of the full moon in Taurus this Wednesday. A full moon always encourages this type of release but this full moon in particular will be opposing the sun in the sign of death and rebirth- Scorpio.

Themes for this full moon include: practicality vs. spirituality, sexuality vs. sensuality and control vs. surrender. You can check to see which houses Scorpio and Taurus are in for you to deepen and personalize these themes.

Full Moon in Taurus Rituals

1. If you would benefit from Taurus’ rooted strength and stability, get out and smell the roses. No, really! Venus rules both Taurus and roses, so there’s a strong connection there.

A very Taurean/Venusian ritual is to draw a bath on the night of the full moon and adorn it with rose petals. Focus on your senses as you bathe. The smell of the roses, the feel of the water... nice and grounding. This is the type of sensuality Taurus lives for.

Because Libra is also ruled by Venus, you can find more info on roses in my blog posts from September 22 - October 21.

2. For the more sensitive, spiritual and seductive energy of Scorpio, work with ginger. Ruled by Mars (Scorpio’s traditional ruler), this root is detoxifying, stimulating and warming.

I’ll be using ginger daily during cold and flu season for its immunity boosting benefits. I’ve been steeping it fresh in my loose leaf tea but if you prefer tea bags, try this brand. Numi is based in Oakland (local to me, yay!) and can be found at a variety of grocery stores. They also use clean ingredients which makes me happy.

Sipping a cup of ginger tea is the perfect full moon ritual when coupled with some journaling or meditating on what you’re working on to release. Remember- full moons call for completion, so that’s your focus.

Feel free to reply with questions or comments,

:) Ferris
