StarBody Report
Itβs still Libra season, same as when I last wrote a StarBody Report- 2 weeks ago but feels like forever. I missed you! Check out my quick overview of the sign of Libra here if you need a refresh, but today, I want to share how we can support ourselves from a spiritual wellness perspective during this first zodiacal season of fall.
When the sun moves from Virgo to Libra, the calendar season moves from summer to autumn. What a wonderful time to shed, simultaneously with the trees, what fall wants us to release. Now is when we explore new ideas of balance, beauty and connection.
Libra is ruled by Venus and because Venus (moving into Libra today btw) speaks to our love language; how can we live our lives a bit more harmoniously? As the days grow shorter and the weather cooler, letβs re-evaluate our values, weed our (metaphorical and literal) gardens and reap our summer harvest in preparation for winter.
Hereβs how to honor Libra season and some easily approachable wellness practices for this time of year:
Balance
Libra rules the balancing systems of our body such as the bladder, kidneys and endocrine system to name a few.
Keeping your blood sugar balanced by monitoring your sugar intake while both the sun and Venus share space in Libra is one way to regulate these systems. We are all more susceptible to craving sweets during these two transits (just in time for the Halloween candy to start rolling in π₯΄).
An additional way to keep your body balanced is utilizing pomegranates (ruled by Venus) for their hydrating, antioxidizing, anti-inflammatory and immune boosting properties. Staying hydrated in general keeps your body happy but adding pomegranate juice or seeds to your diet will elevate this probability.
Lastly, as far as bodywork, I recommended manual lymphatic drainage and dry brushing to increase circulation and take re-balancing your body to the next level. Our lymphatic system is our natural detox system and our energy levels, skin and overall health benefits when itβs awakened.
Beauty
Roses, like pomegranates, are ruled by Venus and are the flower that symbolize beauty and love. Wanting to feel more beautiful? Or see more clearly the beauty that already exists? Looking to cultivate (self, platonic, familial or romantic) love? Work with roses.
Adorn your altar with them, display them on your dining room table or massage your lower back (another part of the body Libra governs) with rose oil. Sprinkle rose petals in your bath water or wear the colors red and pink to energetically connect with what roses represent. Remember- intention is what matters most when practicing a ritual, not perfection.
Connection
Libra is on of the signs most known for their peopleing skills. Theyβre lovers andfighters. They fight for the ones they love and for those who have no one else to fight for them. Scales are the symbol that represents Libra because they valueβ¦ values. And balance and fairness and justice for all. Not to mention they rival Gemini, fellow air sign, for the biggest flirt award.
Libra season is when we re-imagine ways to stay connected. More intimate gatherings, more indoor gatherings and less gatherings just for the sake of gathering. As our energy levels drop with the temperature and lessen with the sunlight, we refine our get-togethers to mirror the season while prioritizing purpose and pleasure.
Til next week,
:) Ferris
