Busy season!
The last quarter of the year, which is also my busiest time of the year, is upon us! By December Iβll have a waitlist of people hoping to be seen but rarely can I accommodate folks who donβt schedule ahead. Now is the time to book your appointments for the remainder of the year and January too.
I have lots in store for you this winter and Iβd hate for you to miss it! A holiday special on gift certificates, a small batch of limited run candles and personalized bodywork, astrology readings and custom essential oil blends that align with the season per usual. Stay tuned in to my newsletter, book those appointments and Iβll see you soon!
Photo of the week: Bought and trimmed some eucalyptus from the farmersβ market a couple of weekends ago. Some was placed in a vase to set on my dining room table and pictured above is what Iβm saving for a simmer pot. Speaking of which, keep reading for a simmer pot recipe thatβs perfect for the upcoming new moon in Libra.
StarBody Report
Ahhhh another new moon and therefore, another invitation for a new beginning. And just one day before the sun moves into Scorpio. So what are we manifesting for Scorpio season? Because now is prime time to do so, while we have the new moon backing us.
Because the new moon (tomorrow) will be in Libra, themes of balance, beauty and connection will be at play. If you read last weekβs newsletter you know what I mean, and if not, check it out here. I also covered the impact of roses, their correlation to the sign of Libra and to Libraβs planetary ruler, Venus.
Try this simmer pot recipe as a ritual to welcome Venus vibes and a sense of clarity, but also to honor the new moon and work with its magic. I like simmer pots because theyβre easy and smell wonderful! This one uses roses for more balance, harmony and abundance, as well as sage for cleansing and clearing energy. You must make space for your fresh start after all- new moon, new you!
Simmer Pot Recipe
β’ 2 parts dried rose petals
β’ 1 part fresh sage
β’ 6 parts filtered water
Cover ingredients with water and bring to a simmer. Do not overcrowd the pot. For example, a medium sized saucepan would hold about 2 cups of petals, one cup of sage and 6 cups of water. As the water evaporates, add more to take full advantage of the medicinal properties of these plants and their scent.
I really encourage you to put your own spin on this. Think; intention, not perfection. Play around with the plant ratios according to your fragrance preferences. Donβt have dried rose petals? Dry some yourself or try fresh ones. I got mine from The Herbal Ritual if youβre in the SF bay area and need an apothecary. I use fresh sage from the grocery store and it works beautifully.
Tip: Try adding a cinnamon stick for that quintessential autumn aroma and as an invitation for prosperity in conjunction with the abundance rose summons.
Lmk if you try this at home!
