Plants = Medicine
Just a quick note to share my excitement about a new class Iโm taking! I recently purchased an astroherbalism course from Rowan + Sage that Iโve had my eye on for over a year.
Astroherbalism is the study of plants as medicine and their relation to astrology. Soon I will be able to look at your birth chart and not only use medical astrology to customize therapeutic bodywork treatments (as I do with my StarBody service) but also have the knowledge to recommend healing plants, teas and tinctures specific to your needs.
I canโt wait to share more about this as the info rolls in. Stay tuned!
Photo of the week: Did you see my photos from Long Beach last week? Hereโs an outtake- pretty pink hydrangeas!

Can you feel it? The new moon hangover? I couldnโt let this transit pass without mention because when a new moon is in Cancer, it hits hard.
The moon (influencer of our emotional state) is the celestial body that the sign of Cancer (known for their hyper sensitivity) is ruled by. See the correlation? Needless to say, the new moon in Cancer last Wednesday left an impression. And Jupiter, also in Cancer, only amplified it all.
Although last week might have felt a bit heavy emotionally, new moons are still prime time for manifesting. Did you set any intentions? Any new opportunities presenting themselves? For extra guidance, check to see which house the new moon was in for you. You still have time to work with itโs magic.
For me, the new moon in Cancer was in my 7th house of partnerships and relationships. Three people asked about my love life last week- no lie. This is also the house of how and who we partner with in all ways, not just romantically. Themes of independence, codependence and interdependence have been orbiting me as well.
Above all- on the heels of the new moon and for the duration of Cancer season, keep in mind how you are (or arenโt) โmotheringโ yourself.
I encourage you to indulge in the essence of Cancerโs maternal femininity. If you need ideas on how to align your self care routine with the current astrological climate, I listed a few ways in this previous post.
Lastly but certainly not least, I must acknowledge Mercury moving into Leo on June 26th. Thereโs a big emphasis on showing up (and speaking up) boldly, confidently and playfully. More on this later and how to support yourself via the back, spine and heart during Mercury retrograde which begins July 17th.
Take care,
:) Ferris
