Happy summer! We reached the peak of the year when welcoming the solstice on June 21st. The sun is high in the sky, the days are long and our (literal and metaphorical) crops are abundant.
We began the first zodiacal season of summer, Cancer, the same day as the solstice and we’ll be immersed in the waves of this water-ruled sign til July 21st. Don’t be surprised if this season feels… rocky. Cancer is emotionally sensitive and highly intuitive. These traits are often triggered or intensified by the transition from spring to summer.
Although summer is typically a more social, energetic time, Cancer season encourages us first to rest and reflect. Before we run full steam ahead into this new season, let us take a moment to thank spring for kicking things off. Because of spring, we’re able to enjoy the fruits of our labor all summer long. Here’s permission to pause, retreat and catch your breath before moving forward.
