Weekly Dose ๐Ÿ’†๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿช๐ŸŒฟ

January 6, 2025 Ferris Givins

New year, new values.

Every year my Hustle and Play family and I choose new manifestation values to help navigate the following seasons, months, weeks and days. Hustle and Play is a workbook encompassing many beautiful, insightful, reflective qualities and is backed by a fiercely compassionate and supportive community. I encourage you to click here, check it out and reply with questions if you have them.

Last yearโ€™s values were femininity, worthiness and resilience (you can read about why I chose each one here). My manifestation values this year are community, intentionality and surrender.

What values will you embody this year to manifest your best 2025? Reply to this email and let me know! :D

Photo of the Week: My boy ice skating! It took him about 90 minutes to skate 5 laps but each one was better than the last. He even let go of the rail a few times by lap number 4. He fell twice and didnโ€™t let that stop him. Iโ€™m so proud of him I could cry. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’“

Star Report

This week Iโ€™m talking about the North and South Nodes because they are switching signs this Saturday which only happens about every year and a half. I also happened to have my first big astrology AHA moment thanks to the nodes when I first started studying the zodiac on a much deeper level than ever before (more on that later).

The NN and SN speak to our past lives in comparison to our destiny in our natal (aka personal) birth charts. Today weโ€™ll be looking at the nodes in relation to our past and future as a collective, but remember, you can personalize any astrological transit by looking at which house the transit is in for you in your natal birth chart.

The South Node speaks to past energy. Energy we are leaving behind and hopefully learning from. Directly opposite is the North Node highlighting where we are headed. When I saw that I had a Cancer placement in my chart, many years post break up with both a Cancer boyfriend and a Cancer best friend, I thought โ€œThis must be wrong or astrology must be fakeโ€. At this point, I couldnโ€™t relate to Cancers and quite frankly, didnโ€™t like them either (Sorry, Cancers. I like you now though!). Plus as โ€œwoo wooโ€ as I can be, I am equally skeptical and discerning, often to a fault (thanks to my Mercury in Capricorn IYKYK).

Once I realized what the lunar nodes signified in my chart, that all changed. turns out Cancerian energy is what Iโ€™m inching towards while Capricorn energy (that discerning, rigid, practical to a fault side of me ๐Ÿ˜ฌ) is a more familiar part of myself Iโ€™ve been called to leave behind this lifetime. THAT I identified with. THAT is why I started studying astrology in the first place, to embrace my intuitive side that didn't always make sense logically, but made sense energetically.

So what are the nodes up to exactly this week? And how will it affect us?

The North Node is moving into Pisces (water) and the South Node is moving into Virgo (earth). Water and earth are complimentary elements and work beautifully together. Water softens earth, making it more pliable and extends the invitation of flow to an, at times, inflexible element. Think about the dynamic between a Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn and a Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces. The combination of water and earth blends spirituality with practicality and thatโ€™s what the nodes are calling attention to for the next 1.5 years.

Keep in mind that the South Node is asking us to leave something behind (Virgo: doing) while the NN is calling us in its direction instead (Pisces: feeling). In other words, itโ€™s time to project our doer/fixer attitudes onto ourselves but with empathy and grace. Thereโ€™s a calling to sit, feel, hold and comfort ourselves. This is how Pisces lends itself to Virgo and how we best prepare before lending ourselves to one another.

Which part of your life could use the sensitive nature of water? Once again, check to see which house the North Node in Aries is in for you.

Need help with this whole self-love thing? Focus on the Pisces part of your body; your feet. Try some foot reflexology with me for example. Can you see how the practice of prioritizing your well-being and working with astrology can be simple and beneficial? I can.

Til next week,
:) Ferris
